The ideal candidate will lead and manage the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to final commissioning. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance reviews.

Responsibilities

· Reviewing and approving system designs, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. He may also contribute to design work himself, especially in complex projects.

· Staying up to date with the latest solar technologies and evaluating their suitability for projects. This includes researching new equipment, assessing performance, and making recommendations

· Ensuring all designs and installations comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, local regulations).

· Leading the resolution of technical issues that may arise during design, construction, or operation.

· Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, project delivery, business development, and investment and assist them with engineering-related questions.

· Work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage competing priorities and overcome obstacles to successfully meet project milestones

· Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Candidate must have a Bachelor / Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering with relevant min 10-12 years of experience and thorough knowledge in engineering of solar plant.

· Expertise in Array yard layout; AC & DC cable sizing , string formation drawings, earthing & lightning protection installations;

· Various sizing calculations to prove sufficiency for adopted substation design: Instrument Transformer sizing, Short Circuit calculation, Earthing Calculation, HT & LT cable sizing calculation, battery & charger sizing, relay setting calculation etc.

· System Analysis & network study; Preparation of Main SLD (Single Line Diagram) including selection of primary equipment specifications

· Understanding of various studies and testing procedures for solar development

· Understanding Energy Storage Systems knowledge of battery management systems, and related technologies is increasingly important.

· A strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC) is essential for ensuring compliance and safety.

  • · Familiarity with design software (e.g., PVsyst, SAM, CAD, Etap, Homer, Sketchup, SolidWorks, etc..)
