For our MEA team, reporting to the MEA Storage Delivery & Service Business Manager, we are currently searching for an experienced and driven Field Service Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Delivery and Service – MEA, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the delivery of utility-scale BESS projects from inception to
• completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, R&D, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and its respective procedures.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
• Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among all project team members.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on project sites, always following the safety procedures and utilizing the correct PPE accordingly.
• Develop and manage project resource plans, including staffing and equipment needs.
• Support business development efforts by providing technical input and project insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. An additional MSc in Engineering or an MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on utility scale or PMGD renewable energy projects and/or Substations. Experience in BESS system is a plus.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proactive and autonomous, able to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to have a professional conversation with English speakers in the field (Level B2 of English or higher).
• Availability to work and live in Egypt or India during at least 6 months.
