ACWA Power’s Graduate Development Program (GDP): A Unique 2+2 Journey
ACWA Power’s GDP program is built around the innovative 2+2 concept: a two-year, meticulously structured learning and professional development journey, followed by another two years focused on full business integration and career growth for graduates who demonstrate high performance.
🔹 Year 1 focuses on professional development, preparing graduates for future key roles. Participants attend simulations and classroom-based learning to develop five critical leadership capabilities:
- Leading Self
- Driving Project Success
- Collaborating Across the Organization
- Contributing to a Culture of Innovation
- Creating Value for ACWA Power by deepening their understanding of our business model
They also gain high-level exposure through mentorship by senior leaders and the opportunity to work on impactful projects within their departments.
🔹 Year 2 emphasizes cross-functional on-the-job training, bubble assignments, and capstone projects. These experiences maximize exposure and enable graduates to propose solutions to real challenges in the energy transition.
Job Title: Graduate Development Program (GDP)

Job Purpose
The Graduate Development Program is designed to develop future leaders by providing exposure to projects, operations, and cross-functional teams. Participants will benefit from professional development training, mentoring, and structured learning opportunities to accelerate their career journey at ACWA Power.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects and daily operations to gain practical experience and add value to the team.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and development activities designed to enhance technical and soft skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and challenges.
- Prepare and present progress reports, insights, and recommendations to managers and program coordinators.
- Act on feedback from mentors and supervisors to enhance learning and performance.
- Demonstrate commitment to ACWA Power’s values, mission, and performance standards.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the required majors. – Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, renewables, Environmental, Chemical)Business Administration (Accounting, Finance, Economics) Risk Management or Law
- GPA of 3.5/4 or 4.5/5 (or higher).
- Proficient in English.
- 0–2 year of professional experience
- Fully available and committed to the program.
- Willingness to relocate or travel during the program.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
