Job Summary:
To provide support in conducting commercial finance activities for new business opportunities within the Generation business unit. The role is responsible to conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential business development opportunities and conducting a financial analysis and evaluation. Provide support in monitoring performance indicators and assisting in investment planning and contract management.
General Responsibilities:

§ Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled while consistently delivering quality and cost-effective service.
§ Reporting
§ Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with HQ and business policies and standards.
§ Provide support in the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
§ Comply with organization requirements in a timely manner.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
§ Provide input to budget process and prepare draft performance indicators (e.g. revenue, growth targets, etc.) for assessing the growth of business development opportunities. Periodically monitor the projects against set indicators, analyze trends, update forecasts and highlight variances to senior management.
§ Support in the complete process for non / limited recourse debt / EBL raising from market sounding to financial close.
§ Assist in developing and maintaining a prospect database including information on projects, strategic roadmaps, costs,and expected returns across different markets, both locally and globally.
§ Assist and conduct market assessments to evaluate both, organic and inorganic growth prospects, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, or other business development opportunities locally and internationally, to support in expansion of Generation business unit in new areas, regions, and markets.
§ Develop preliminary pricing forecasts and financial models for approval. Conduct feasibility studies and financial analysis to generate insights on new opportunities within the assigned target market.
§ Assist in commercial evaluations to determine the economic life cycle, cash flows, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and commercial risks of new projects and opportunities.
§ Conduct first level sensitivity and scenario analysis simulations on the financial model for new investments, acquisitions, strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and operational optimization.
§ Provide input and support in the development of investment plan memoranda and financial guidance for projects and initiatives.
§ Assist in reviewing and analyzing the performance of current investments and incorporating findings into future investment plans for projects initiated originally by Business Development.
§ Provide support to create and maintain strong relationship with financial advisors and banking community for project financing and equity bridges.
§ Coordinate with other departments such as; technical excellence and engineering, operations, asset management, etc. on resolving queries regarding business development plans.
§ Provide support in the development of comprehensive and well-structured financial models within the Generation business unit; incorporate new developments and changes as required. Ensure alignment of financial model with corporate planning, particularly in terms of compatibility and smooth transfer of outputs to HQ for the preparation of the TAQA group’s consolidated business plan and budgets.
§ Support the routine collaboration with all business partners (Human Capital, Supply Chain, IT, Finance and Legal) to co-deliver defined key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with the overall business plan and assumptions.
§ Stay updated on global trends and best practices in business development and collaborate with the stakeholders in due diligence and negotiations. Propose and implement innovative strategies to capture new market opportunities.
