Job description:
Job Purpose
Highly skilled Internal Auditor with strong data analytics expertise. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven techniques to enhance audit efficiency, identify control gaps, and develop automated audit dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Python, SQL) for continuous monitoring. This role will primarily focus on financial processes, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and process improvements through advanced analytics.
Key Accountability Areas
Governance:
- Implement and maintain audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice.
- Perform review and evaluation of available and newly designed policies and procedure and provide recommendations to improve.
Risk Management:
- Advise management on identification and management of major risks.
- Perform risk identification with department and functions Managers.
- Help organizations assess and monitor risks and develop and implement mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with functions to maintain risk registers.
Audit (Data-Driven Auditing & Continuous Monitoring)
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessment, identify potential risks, test mitigation controls, and agree on action plans.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
- Design automated audit dashboards (Power BI, or similar) Develop and execute data analytics to assess financial controls, detect anomalies, and identify risks.
- Support the transition from traditional sampling to full-population testing using data analytics.
- Use SQL, Python, or R to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets for audit testing.
- Apply predictive analytics and machine learning (where applicable) to detect fraud, errors, and inefficiencies.
Role Accountability
HR Proficiency:
- Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving:
- Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
Business Process Improvements:
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
Safety:
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
