As we expand our market presence, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Executive to join our team and drive our business growth.

Role Overview:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the freight and logistics sector. This role involves a combination of sales, relationship management, and market analysis to effectively promote our services and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
  • Identify and generate new sales leads in target markets (local, national, or international).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their freight and logistics needs.
  • Conduct cold calling, prospecting, and networking to expand the client base.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to build a network of contacts and promote the company.
  • Sales Process Management:
  • Develop tailored proposals and quotes for clients, considering their specific requirements (air, sea, road freight, etc.).
  • Present and sell freight solutions (import/export, customs clearance, warehousing, etc.) to clients.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and service level agreements to ensure profitable deals.
  • Close sales and onboard new clients, ensuring smooth transition and high customer satisfaction.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring ongoing communication and satisfaction.
  • Address client concerns, complaints, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure the successful execution of logistics and freight operations.
  • Regularly review client accounts and services to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand the needs of potential clients and tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Analyze client feedback and adjust sales strategies to better meet client demands and preferences.
  • Sales Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and pipelines using CRM systems.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to management.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the freight, logistics, or supply chain industry (or similar sectors).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in managing customer relationships and handling client negotiations.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding services (air freight, sea freight, road transport, etc.) and logistics operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Other:
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally or internationally if required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
