Dar is looking for a full-time Environmental Engineer to join the environmental team in Amman office.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be working on the following tasks:

• Work with the Environmental Team on a broad range of engineering projects and advisory services.
• Contribute to the preparation of Environmental studies including Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEAs), Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs); Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP); Resettlement Policy Frameworks (RPFs); and Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) and other Environmental studies.
• Conduct site visits inside and outside the country.
• Coordinate and meet with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will be based on Amman with potential travels throughout the Middle East.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental, water and environment engineering or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Demonstrable knowledge of preparation of Environmental Studies such as Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
• Knowledge of IFC, WB, EBRD ..etc Environmental and Social Performance Standards is an advantage.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic skills.
