- Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generator inspections/overhauls, parts supply and engineering services
- GT / ST and Generator corrective maintenance and repairs on a standby basis
- Generator robotic inspections, rotor and stator rewinds
- Auxiliaries Inspections/overhauls and parts supply
- Turnkey GT/GTG/ST/STG/ Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), Long-Term Maintenance Agreements (LTMAs), Long-Term Manpower Supply (LTMSAs) and Long-Term Part-Supply Agreements (LTPSAs)
- On-Site Intervention Services (OSIS) – Spark Erosion; in-situ valve repairs; on-site machining (CNC and Rotor Lathe); low speed balancing; Trevi-Testing
- On site Surface Preparation – ice blasting, coating and curing of Compressor parts (blades/vanes) with Aluminum Chromate coatings
- In-house Re-Engineering and Design team
Job Scope
As Design and Integrity Engineer, you will play a key role in projects related to maintenance, repair, and technical support of our (ST & GT) turbine-generators services. The role expects a combination of leading expertise in thermodynamics, and mechanical engineering to drive NMESs growth professionally and in business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thermodynamic analyses of steam/gas paths to optimize turbine performance and efficiency.
- Perform heat balance analyses of power trains.
- Create, model and evaluate your own 3D models of turbine components using the available software platforms.
- Conduct performance and integrity analyses of steam paths, stationary and rotating parts, and turbine casings.
- Provide design support to customers remotely and on-site as needed, including areas related to performance/commissioning, fault-finding, and system problem-solving.
- Lead feasibility studies for (partial) turbine re-rates/design and provide recommendations based on analysis and operational feasibility.
- Specify, execute, and review turbine performance trials to validate design improvements.
- Support reverse engineering activities and contribute to the advanced parts solutions program for steam turbine components.
- Collaborate with other departments supporting commercial and operational assignments.
- Conduct technical risk analyses and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Outage Managers, Lead Field Services Engineer and Field Service Engineers.
- Support NMES in New Product and Service development (NPD) ambitions.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure that all work complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Develop and enforce safety procedures to protect employees and assets.
Quality Assurance Oversight
Implement and oversee quality control measures.
Team Leadership
- Lead junior to mid-level engineering employees as a technical subject matter expert, offering guidance and training to the team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to attain project objectives.
- Provide active coaching and mentorship to team members across different levels, with a focus on assisting them in attaining their performance objectives and aligning with the company’s technical leadership succession plan, tailored to both employees and himself.
Problem-Solving Skills
Troubleshoot and analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions to address them effectively.
Documenting RCA studies following FMECA principles.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of repair activities, including metallurgical analyses, repair procedures, quality control measures, and compliance documentation. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and outcomes of repair projects for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present NMES intellectual developments to clients, prospects in commercial and operational settings.
Risk Management
Identify and assess potential risks associated with projects and take steps to mitigate them.
Develop and implement contingency plans.
