Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: 5th Settlement, New Cairo

Reporting to: Infrastructure & Utilities Senior Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical network designs including MV/LV distribution systems, substations, cabling, and street lighting to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Validate load analysis, power studies, and network simulations provided by consultants and contractors.
• Check design drawings, BOQs, and technical documents for accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure all network designs meet local and international regulations and are ready for permit approvals.
• Identify design gaps, apply value engineering principles, and recommend cost-effective, safe, and efficient improvements.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and utility teams to ensure proper integration of electrical networks.
• Support project execution by reviewing as-built documentation and verifying adherence to approved designs.
• Prepare detailed technical review reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years reviewing electrical infrastructure designs (MV/LV networks, substations, cabling, protection).
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong in reviewing load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, protection coordination calculations.
• Proficient in ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Dialux; knowledge of IEC, NEC, and local codes.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.
