Position Summary:

Planet Energy Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Engineer to support and expand our renewable energy operations in Sudan. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in solar energy systems and a proven track record of closing deals and building long-term customer relationships. This role involves system design, business development, CRM pipeline management, and project execution coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design: Design and size tailored solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and institutional clients using industry-standard software and tools.

• Client Acquisition: Actively develop and expand the customer base through networking, site visits, and strategic outreach.

• CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized CRM pipeline of leads, prospects, proposals, and ongoing customer interactions.

• Sales & Closing: Present technical and commercial proposals, conduct negotiations, and close deals. Maintain a proven record of customer acquisition and sales conversion.

• Customer Support: Provide pre- and post-sales support, including site surveys, product selection, and ongoing client follow-up.

• Project Management Support: Work with internal teams to oversee smooth handover and execution of signed projects, ensuring compliance with quality and timeline requirements.

• Reporting: Submit regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in solar energy system design and technical sales.

• Demonstrated success in closing deals and managing a portfolio of satisfied customers.

• In-depth knowledge of PV systems, inverters, and mounting solutions. Proficiency in design software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope.

• Experience working with CRM systems for sales tracking and client management.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Fluency in English required; Arabic is an asset.
