Responsibilities:
- Participate in the research, development, and scale-up of new and existing chemical processes.
- Conduct process simulations and analyze data to optimize production efficiency and yield.
- Design and select equipment for chemical processing units.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including flow diagrams, process specifications, and operating procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to ensure smooth production operations.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including research and development, production, and quality control.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in chemical engineering technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (required).
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the chemical industry (preferred).
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass/heat transfer principles.
- Proficient in the use of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
