PRIMARY PURPOSE:

• Assist in providing a safe and environmentally. friendly workplace for employees, customers, visitors and the society.
• Serve as Emergency Response Coordinator as required.
• Assist operational departments in meeting the EHS policies and procedures
• Ensuring the implementation of EHS policies and procedures through frequent site visits and subcontractor audits.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure the company’s Renewable Energy projects comply with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies specific to solar energy operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and address potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
• Raise awareness of EHS best practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of response procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Records related to EHS activities, incidents, inspections, and
• training.
• Prepare regular reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Qualifications, Knowledge, Experiences & Skills:
• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with solar energy systems, construction, and operation processes is advantageous.
• a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in EHS management, preferably within the renewable energy sector or construction industry.
• Certifications such as OSHA / NEBOSH certifications and other relevant EHS certifications may be preferred.
