We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our Transport Planning & Mobility team in the UAE.As an Engineer specializing in Transport Planning & Mobility, you will play a key role in developing and implementing transportation strategies to address the evolving mobility needs of the whole Middle East region. Working closely with a team of experienced professionals, you will contribute to the planning, analysis, and design of transportation systems, fostering sustainable and innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 1-2 years of experience in transportation planning who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on the future of urban mobility in the Middle East region. Your new role, what’s involved?
- Transport Planning: Assist in conducting research, data collection, and analysis to assess existing transportation systems, travel patterns, and infrastructure performance.
- Mobility Solutions: Contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative transportation solutions, including intelligent transportation systems, multimodal integration, and sustainable mobility options.
- Traffic Analysis: Support the team in conducting traffic studies, including traffic impact assessments, capacity analyses, and traffic flow modeling, using industry-standard software.
- Data Management: Collect, organize, and manage transportation-related data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Transport Modeling: Assist in the development and utilization of transport models, simulation tools, and optimization techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and project partners, to gather input and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Report Writing: Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other project deliverables to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates effectively.
- Project Support: Provide support to senior engineers in various project tasks, such as proposal development, project scheduling, and budget monitoring.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of transportation planning and mobility through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree in Transportation Planning or Urban Planning is a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with transportation planning concepts, traffic engineering principles, and relevant software tools (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro, TransCAD, ArcGIS).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze transportation data to support decision-making processes.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify transportation challenges, propose creative solutions, and evaluate their feasibility and impact.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and project requirements.
- UAE Knowledge: Familiarity with the transportation landscape, policies, and regulations in the UAE is desirable.
- Professional Development: Eagerness to pursue professional certifications, attend training programs, and actively engage in professional organizations related to transportation planning and engineering.
