As a Project Engineer you will define, support and drive the work packages for the assigned multiple service projects. You will work alongside the Project Manager, Technical Lead Engineer and the Procurement manager on all project related tasks including collaboration with customers and suppliers / subcontractors and ensure that project objectives are met.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will work alongside the Technical Lead Engineer, the Procurement Officer and the Senior Project Engineer/ Project Manager on all subcontractor & supplier packages as well as handle subcontractors/suppliers’ packages from design to delivery and installation at site.
• Commercially and technically, you will raise all potential risks, variations and opportunities and collaborate with the Project Manager
• You will be responsible for supporting in the preparation of Monthly Progress Reports on the assigned work packages for internal and external reporting,
• You will collaborate closely with site personnel and commissioning engineers to facilitate smooth execution of work on site.
• You will be required to support customer meetings on discussions, technical queries.
• You will prepare bill of quantities for various equipment in a project in collaboration with project manager, procurement manager and technical specialist.
• You will be responsible for Floating enquiries with sub-suppliers, arranging quotations, finalization of sub-suppliers in collaboration with procurement manager / technical specialist and issuance of purchase orders.
• You will regularly follow up and ensure deliveries are in line with project schedule.
• You will Collaborate with site manager/ lead engineer for site requirements on all assigned projects, and facilitate site office set-up’s and associated support services.
• You will support during Tender preparation as per advice of Bid managers on documentation, arranging quotations and submission process in-accordance with the needs.

What you Bring?

• We are looking for someone who ideally has project experience gained within the power transmission Industry.
• You will have understanding on Transmission standards & technologies together with knowledge of Substation Primary & Secondary Systems. You will have knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations as well as Risk Management processes.
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (Fresh graduate or minimum 2-3 years of experience in substation projects with utilities/EPC’s)
• Readiness to assume comprehensive areas of responsibility, with high degree of own initiative and responsible decision taking.
• Expert skills in spoken and written English & Arabic language and ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
• Driving License and own means of transportation is preferred
