This is an exciting opportunity for THREE individuals to join a diverse project management team and work in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. These roles will work within small project management teams to deliver bushfire recovery projects across state forests in East Gippsland. Projects include repairs and improvements to roads and visitor sites across public land.

The successful applicants will be self-driven and a problem solver. The roles will deliver project management, procurement, contract management and superintending services across a broad range of projects. These roles will be both office and field based, and you can expect to be out in the forests superintending contractors and inspecting works and visiting work sites. Having a background in land management would be an advantage. DEECA has emergency management responsibilities, especially relating to bushfire and this role will contribute to DEECA’s responsibilities wherever possible.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in natural resource management, with good knowledge of road maintenance and repair, and forest management.
  • An understanding of relevant local issues, history, and communities in the Gippsland region
  • Current manual Victorian driver’s licence (Mandatory)

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Gippsland with hybrid work arrangements available.
