Overview:
As a Renewable Energy Performance Analyst / O&M (Operations and Maintenance) Engineer, you will
play a critical role in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of renewable energy assets,
such as solar photovoltaic (PV) systems / plants. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient
operation, reliability, and profitability of renewable energy projects. You will work closely with cross-
functional teams to diagnose performance issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous
improvement initiatives to maximize energy production and asset performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
a) Utilize monitoring software and data analytics tools to continuously monitor the performance of
renewable energy assets, including solar PV arrays, wind turbines, inverters, and balance of
plant components.
b) Analyze performance data, production metrics, and operational parameters to identify
deviations, anomalies, and underperforming assets.
c) Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and develop action plans to address
inefficiencies and optimize energy production.
2) Operations and Maintenance Support:
a) Collaborate with O&M teams to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues impacting the
performance of renewable energy systems.
b) Coordinate with field technicians and service providers to schedule maintenance activities,
equipment inspections, and repairs as needed.
c) Implement preventive maintenance strategies and predictive maintenance techniques to
minimize downtime and maximize system availability.
3) Performance Optimization:
a) Develop and implement performance optimization strategies to enhance the efficiency and
output of renewable energy assets.
b) Identify opportunities for system upgrades, component replacements, and technology
enhancements to improve overall performance and reliability.
c) Conduct performance testing, validation, and commissioning of new equipment and software
solutions.
4) Data Management and Reporting:
a) Maintain comprehensive databases of performance data, maintenance records, and equipment
history for renewable energy assets.
b) Generate regular performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting key
performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement.
c) Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-
making and optimize asset performance.
5) Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
a) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related
to the operation and maintenance of renewable energy systems.
b) Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to promote a culture of
safety and environmental stewardship.
c) Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting
renewable energy operations and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor &s or Master& s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or
related field.
Previous experience in renewable energy operations, maintenance, or performance analysis is
highly desirable.
Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind, or
hydroelectric technologies.
Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization tools .
Familiarity with SCADA systems, monitoring software, and remote sensing technologies used in
renewable energy applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical
issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse
teams and stakeholders.
Certifications or training in renewable energy systems, O&M practices, or related fields are
advantageous.
