About the Role:

The job holder shall be responsible for the management of segments of the environment, and implementing the sustainability management plans for concerned BUs covering green procurement, green mobility etc. Also collecting and compiling the sustainability related Data, preparation of periodical reports and statements etc.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Develop Sustainability & Environment goals, objectives, initiatives, strategies etc. that are aligned with UAE strategic plans including circular economy, net zero etc.
Measure and report Sustainability & Environment performance
Developing and implementation of green building, communities Codes and standards
Review and revise Sustainability & Environment reports, policies, regulatory and technical guidelines related to sustainability & Environment
Identify, develop and monitor new Sustainability & Environment indicators.
Identify or investigate violations of natural resources, waste management, recycling, or other environmental policies.
Provide technical or administrative support for Sustainability & Environment programs or issues;
Create, implement and maintain actionable plans and documents related to environment and sustainability.
Inspect, monitor and develop reports or presentations to communicate the effectiveness of Sustainability & Environment initiatives.
Liaise with Marketing Department to outreach media, such as brochures or web sites, to communicate Sustainability & Environmental achievements;
Coordinate with team for waste management, green building regulation.
Assess or propose Sustainability & Environment initiatives, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, and acceptance;
Monitor Sustainability & Environment indicators, such as for energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, recycling and diversion.
Performing energy audit, Implementing Energy Conservation Measures
Training and Education for external and internal stakeholders
Renewable energy project proposals and implementation
Compilation of sustainability data, data analytics and preparation of Sustainability & Environment reporting
Technical evaluation, review and approval of material submissions
Sustainability communities and building audits and inspections.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have the below qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, etc.) Candidate with master’s degree will be preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sustainability & Environment related fields.
Certified in any three like ISO 14001/9001/50001, LEED, WELL, BREEAM, CEM, or similar.
Working experience in Sustainability / ESG reporting
Experience in energy modelling, energy audits etc.
