Yellow Door Energy is looking for seasoned Business Development Manager with experience with Large Industrial Projects / Commercial Clients to join our Jordan office. The ideal candidate will be excited about bringing clean energy solutions to businesses across Jordan. She/he will report to the VP Investment/CCO and will work closely with all teams across the organization, supporting the company’s strategic growth.

Our Business Development Manager will have the following main functions, responsibilities & accountabilities:

  1. Developing business pipeline and growth strategies
  2. Managing and retaining relationships with clients
  3. Writing business proposals
  4. Identifying and mapping business strengths and needs of the customer
  5. Following industry trends locally and internationally
  6. Ability to handle large transactions at the C-suite level

You…

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales in Jordan and/or abroad
  • Have prior knowledge of long-term contractual agreements in Energy Purchase or leasing
  • Demonstrable results in Business Development; especially in lead generation and relationship building
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • A strong personal and professional network across Jordan
  • Be energetic, resilient and excellent at building relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Confident self-starter able to use initiative
  • Professional, presentable and confident manner dealing in person or on the phone with customers and prospects
  • Strong communication skills – spoken, written and electronic; English is a must
  • Attention to detail is essential along with a very organized approach
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Administration or Engineering
  • Master’s degree holders would be preferred but not necessary
  • Experience in renewable energy would be a plus

What we are looking for…

  • Develop business and growth plans in coordination with VP – Investments to achieve revenue goals
  • Drive the creation of leads to meet YDE’s sales goals in the Solar, Hybrid & Energy Efficiency Leasing and Energy Purchase market
  • Target and contact key decision-makers and develop positive relationships to secure new project opportunities, sales volumes and market share
  • Conduct market research and identify key C&I customers for distributed solar leasing and energy efficiency systems within the Jordanian market
  • Create strategies to negotiate and close business deals under a strict timeline
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding products in a timely fashion
  • Develop business proposals for new and existing customers
  • Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends
  • Maintain a knowledge repository of clients, referrals, RFPs, prospects and presentations
  • Manage customer calls and appointments effectively for new opportunities
  • Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization
  • Collate and maintain project database
  • The ability to manage a team is a plus
  • Work independently with a sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Develop executable large scale projects pipeline
